Meet the Founder and

Guru of Coding LLC, founded in 2019, is operated by Shamira Ervin. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but has lived in Atlanta for the past 18 years. She is the proud mother of three sons. She has over ten years of medical experience working in various parts of the revenue cycle. After obtaining her CPC certification in 2013, Shamira went on to obtain her CCS, COC, CRC, and CDEO certifications. Her commitment to the industry is further underscored by her role as an AAPC-approved Instructor, where she has guided countless professionals on their journey towards coding mastery. In 2021, she demonstrated her leadership by serving as the Vice President of the Stockbridge Georgia chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Shamira's true passion lies in education. She has devoted her career to bridging the knowledge gap in medical coding.
